After carefully reading the draft of pod #5 about writing poems, my most intuitive feeling is that they have clearly and concisely summarized the essentials of writing poetry. From this point alone, I have to admit that they summed up the content very well. For me, the overview introduces the seven parts of the whole course very clearly and in detail at the beginning of the draft. Through the intuitive structure, students can better construct the idea of learning the course so that students can do better with pre-class preparation. I like pod #5 recommends students fill out a Know/Wonder/Learn chart before the class starts. This step can help students clarify their learning ideas so that each student can make a study plan in advance for their shortcomings. In the following steps, the team members also introduced the Literary Devices about writing poems to be taught in the course very clearly. A detailed introduction and specific examples accompanied each writing technique. Not only that, but the group members have been very thoughtful in adding Kahoots and quizzes related to writing techniques. I think such activities can effectively increase each student’s sense of engagement and interaction, which in some ways can improve students’ learning interest and efficiency.

I also enjoy how the group gets immediate feedback by letting the students create their poems in the last activity of the class. In this way, students’ learning outcomes can be obtained more realistically, and educators can improve their teaching plans through student feedback. In addition, the evaluation criteria at the end of the draft are also very concise and clear for students to understand at a glance. From the Interactive Learning Resource outline, although the structure and teaching ideas of the entire draft are apparent, some elements may be lacking. For example, consider adding a description and rationale for the learning theory and add a citation of the relevant content at the end of the draft. I personally recommend adding more content to each activity section, such as outcomes corresponding to each activity and specific implementation details for each activity.

Nevertheless, I really like the theme and intuitive content of the draft created by pod #5. The above are my feelings, in my humble opinion. If you have any suggestions, you are welcome to discuss them together. I am very honored to be in the same class with you and have the opportunity to participate in your topic! Thank you so much!
